How fun is that?? Sweet Stephanie over at Falling Into First "Boo"ed me! I am so glad she did!
Here are some of my favorite October "things".
I wish it was like the favorite things show on Oprah when I could give you all a new car.
Sorry, you'll have to settle for some spider webs and slime.
(Stephanie posted a cool SLIME recipe she found on pinterest....check it out!)
SPIDERS!
Here are some of my favorite books to read before doing these fun spider activites.
I posted about how to make these fun, easy spider webs in my previous post here.
I also posted about making "Spider Diaries" after reading "Diary of a Spider."
2 - MONSTERS!
We made these super duper cute monsters last week.
They are so simple to make. I let the kids go wild with them. I gave them different color shapes, strips for arms and legs, and white die cut circles for eyes. For everything else they used scrap paper (and their imaginations).
We are still working hard this week to write some descriptive sentences about our monsters. Here are some freebies to help your darlings do the same!
I also found this little video on pinterest to go along with "Go Away Big Green Monster."
BATS!
My absolute favorite bat story (and one of my favorite stories of all time) is Stellaluna!
Love. Love. Love.
I am going to use some of the fabulous ideas from the fabulous Cara over at The First Grade Parade to work on story elements and sequence this week as we study bats.
I think the fire marshall might have to deal with these guys hanging from my ceiling. They are a must. My fiance is a firefighter...I should get one free pass, right?
I also plan to make these ADORABLE bats from Teri at A Cupcake for the Teacher. She has the best craftivities! Best news of all? FREE.
Yep. Free!
Next week....pumpkins!
I'll be back next week to show you all of the gooey pumpkin fun we get into.
I CAN tell you that we will be reading this book.
I also noticed in the last Scholastic catalog that there is a new Spookley book for Thanksgiving!
I do have my brand new FALL FOR ALL math and writing pack posted in my TPT store. There is a Spookley craftivity/writing project included if you are a big fan of Spookley like I am...check it out!

I am sending a big ol' BOO out to these ladies. Check out their blogs and see what they're up to this October!
(I tried to find some friends that hadn't been "Boo"ed yet...but I think I was late to the party. If I missed ya and you want a "boo"...get in touch! Plenty of "BOO"s to go around. That made me giggle a little when I typed it.
BOOs...Booze.
Giggle.
Wow. I think that means it's time for bed.
Happy teaching to you!!
Your Fall for All pack looks fabulous!!
